The construction was designed and supervised by an award winning Canadian designer/contractor (the owner) to exacting standards.It is situated on a solid rock bluff, offering expansive views of the local mountains, Zihuatanejo Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
The interior floors and outside decks have high quality Saltillo tiles from northern Mexico.
All the windows,doors and closets have been constructed to the highest standards using high grade local cedro wood ( Spanish cedar) with good quality hardware attachments.
The main level consists of a kitchen with island, dining area, living room, powder room, laundry/sewing room. and office nook. From this level you walk out onto a partly covered pool terrace with 3 graceful arches, supported by columns of cantera stone and an infinity pool overlooking Zihuatanejo Bay.
The upper area has a large master bedroom which opens out onto a covered deck the full width of the house. The second bedroom opens onto the front.deck overlooking a private courtyard with a fountain. Both bedrooms have a separate two sink bathroom with shower, toilet and quality fixtures.
All the interior furniture (except the dining room table and chairs) was custom designed by the owner specifically for its location, in the Mexican architectural order, then made by local craftsman using the finest local hardwoods. All of the furniture and most of the contents will be included in the sale.
All ornamental metal work throughout the house was custom designed by the owner and constructed by craftsmen from Patzcuaro, San Miguel Allende and Zihuatanejo in the Mexican traditional manner.
